This is a great tune. Evie Ladin, the banjo player for the Stairwell Sisters, plays a driving, syncopated version that is the engine for the tune. I transferred some of her handwritten tab into some computer-generated tab for her and have learned to play the tune about 2/3 of the speed that she gets. It’s a great lesson in syncopation on clawhammer banjo.

Just got home from Dent Folk fest… well done guys, Your contribution added to a fantastic weekend for us punters. Kept hearing snippets of piping from your encampment at the top of the hill, and your sessions were fantastic.

Must’ve been at least minus 5 out there. I thought Sara’s fiddle was about to crumble to dust. The rapid rate of detuning was quite alarming.
