Here is my approximation of an old-time fiddle tune I heard yesterday on an album by American group The Stairwell Sisters. I couldn’t find it online so I just transcribed it myself. Pigtown Fling will be playing at The Kames Hotel, Kames, Tighnabruaich, Argyll, Scotland on the Saturday 5th September 2009. We will also be hanging around on the following Sunday afternoon for an open music session, please come and join us.
The Kames Hotel is an excellent place with good food and beer and lovely rooms, all set amongst lovely West Cowal scenery.

La Fresnais, Brittany, France

Pigtown Fling will be playing in La Fresnais, Brittany, France on Sunday 2nd August 2009.
We will be playing some of our usual repertoire, but a large part of the gig will involve teaching Scottish ceilidh dances and hopefully playing for a few Breton dances too. We will be taking our dear friend Christophe Lefebvre with us on second fiddle and translating duties.

Pigtown Fling will be playing in La Fontenelle, Brittany, France on Saturday 1st August 2009. We have been invited to play at the Friends of Jean Langlais Festival for a second year running.
We will be playing some of our usual repertoire, but a large part of the gig will involve teaching Scottish ceilidh dances and hopefully playing for a few Breton dances too. We will be taking our dear friend Christophe Lefebvre with us on second fiddle and translating duties.
